Polyisocyanurate (PIR) Panels

Polyisocyanurate (PIR) is a polymer made by the formation of numerous isocyanurate rings. This type of polymer has the special properties of creating a carbon layer to cover the surface. When burning occurs, PIR insulation is the most effective insulation against fire. In addition, when exposed to flames it releases very little smoke compared to many other types of insulation.
