Research programmes at the institute change every few quarters, so the brief called for a laboratory envelope that can be re-planned without demolition. CityPoint supplied a demountable ISO Class 6 wall system on an aluminium profile framework, with flush glazing that keeps sightlines across the suite for supervision.

Sample transfer between the write-up area and the classified rooms runs through interlocked pass-through boxes, keeping personnel movements — and therefore particle load — to a minimum. Every service penetration is gasketed and re-usable so future changes stay quick and clean.
